A letter will be sent out from the junior school to parents/caregivers shortly, informing you of this sight and how its a great new way of keeping our class, parents/ caregivers and friends up to date with whats happening in room 10 at Pekerau school. This allows us to let you know if there is something special or cool happening in our class.
Keeping ourselves warm and fire safe - "Brrrrr........."
Hats - Why do people where hats? This will incorporate occupations, cultures, sports, safety etcetera.
(any odd, fascinating, interesting or obscure hats you could lend for a display would be appreciated).
Mathematics:
Last term we had great fun with shapes in geometry and symmetrical patterns. We will extend that this term and work with fractions of shapes 1/2, 1/4, 1/3. Later in the term our focus will switch to algebra. Room 10 is continually working with numbers, basic facts, addition and subtraction.
ICT:
We are going to extend our wonderful and ever increasing skills in this area and attempt some photo stories this term along with some computer based projects related to our literacy.
Physical Education:
Yes, we will try to brave the cold and hope for some sunny afternoons to refine our big ball foot skills and big ball hand skills. Cross country will be held this term and a lot more intensity in morning fitness will do us all good and set us up for the cross country day. Hockey skills will complete the term.
